Augusta Mini Theatre Arts & Life Skills School is proud to celebrate the 12th Annual Sunshine’s Roast & Toast, a cherished tradition honoring the remarkable contributions of unsung heroes in our community. This year, we are thrilled to pay tribute to three distinguished ladies: Mrs. Judith F. Ruffin, Dr. Cheryl Evans Jones, and Mrs. Norma W. Delley.
Join us on Tuesday, November 12 at 7 PM at Augusta Mini Theatre Arts 7 Life Skills School, 2548 Deans Bridge Road, Augusta, GA 30906, as we gather to recognize and celebrate their unwavering dedication, leadership, and service. Their impact on our community is immeasurable, and we look forward to an evening filled with gratitude, admiration, and heartfelt tributes.
“Showcase of the Arts: A journey from the classroom to the stage!” The spotlight shines on Dance, Drama, Piano, Visual Arts, and the Class of 2024.
“Showcase of the Arts” is the final student presentation for the Augusta Mini Theatre’s 2023-2024 Season! Featuring the entirety of the Drama, Visual Arts and Dance departments, from 1st through 12th grades, as well as Piano students from the Music department, this production will demonstrate everything that the students have learned this year.
The event is recommended for all ages.

11th Annual Sunshine’s Roast and Toast
James “JR” Riles, a businessman and community leader, will be roasted and toasted, Tuesday, October 10, 2023 beginning at 7PM. Each year, “JR,” along with Augusta Recreation and Parks Department, hosts his annual Out of School Block Party. Roasters and Toasters will include Former Commissioner Marion Williams, Attorney Keith Johnson, Chief Ronnie Few, and more!!
Admission to the Roast is $50 and a table of 8 is $400.
Proceeds benefit the Mariah McKie Butler Memorial College Book Scholarship, which is awarded to Augusta Mini Theatre students that have been in the program for 4 or more years.
The Man, The Message, The Music (A Tribute to the Godfather of Soul)
A play in two acts, this production reinforces the local and international impact left by James Brown, while teaching lessons in history, self-reliance, and the human spirit.
Caged
“Caged”, written by Tyrone J. Butler and directed by Judith Simon-Butler, is a story about slaves and its descendants of segregation, 1619-1970, being housed likening to an unlicensed zoo for the untamed.
